Green Council and Interger have jointly organized TGIIF (Thank God It’s Integer Friday), an informal gathering to coincide with Earth Day (22 April, 2002). Integer situated at Tamar Site has been designed to demonstrate the“intelligent and green” technologies that can be used to construct greener and more people-friendly housing in Hong Kong. Apart from the green facilities, good and healthy indoor air quality is also an importance aspect in environmental housing.
The theme for the evening was “Conservation begins with Education”. The artwork submitted for the Green Label Logo Design Competition and the models cars from the Creative Environmental Friendly Robotic Tournament were on display.
Logo designs reflect an aspiration for a better environment. The winning logo is now being used as the official Hong Kong Green Label Scheme logo.
The model cars were created completely from re-used materials (unwanted material normally thrown away) some with an inbuilt manual winding mechanism and others with mouse traps to power the model cars.
More TGIIFs will be organized in the coming months with themes on Indoor AirQuality, Hong Kong Green Label Scheme & China Environmental Label.
